Tim serves as the General Counsel of Ellipse.  He joined Ellipse after working for more than a decade in the legal department of Oberthur Technologies SA (now known as Idemia).

 

He began his career at Oberthur as the General Counsel for the Americas region before becoming Group General Counsel, responsible for global legal affairs. While at Oberthur, Tim led structured complex agreements and technology licenses in partnership with some of the world’s largest financial institutions, chip suppliers, payment card networks (such as MasterCard, Visa and Discover), and payment processors (including First Data and Square). Tim first met and worked with Ellipse CEO Cyril Lalo when Oberthur acquired NagraID Security in 2014.

 

Tim has over 20 years of broad-based experience in the practice of law. His expertise extends beyond commercial law and includes human resources and labor, internal investigations, compliance, litigation management, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property.
