Ellipse is proud to announce that its facility in Los Angeles, CA has earned Mastercard’s stringent Card Quality Management Certification (CQM). This marks another momentous benchmark for Ellipse, as the company continues to position itself at the forefront of smartcard technology. This achievement affirms the quality, reliability, and interoperability of EVC technology, which brings battery-free and EMV-based dynamic security codes (dCVC/dCVV) on payment cards, at our US headquarters.
Achieving CQM is a pivotal step in ensuring that Ellipse’s EVC micromodules can guarantee seamless integration and performance to the vast network of Mastercard suppliers, including vendors for card manufacturing, card components, processors, and personalization providers.
Reaching beyond card production, achieving Mastercard CQM further positions Ellipse to strengthen trust and confidence among card issuers and their customers, providing assurance that EVC-Ready payment cards deliver reliable, everyday performance.
“Getting our CQM was an expected but nevertheless fantastic milestone in readying EVC and Ellipse as a whole for worldwide acceptance and distribution,” said CTO and co-founder Sebastien Pochic. “Special thanks to our tireless team for leading the charge in this certification process. The Ellipse team continues to hit and exceed industry benchmarks at a remarkable pace.”
Ellipse had previously received the stringent Mastercard’s CQM certification for other facilities around the world including Shenzhen and Shanghai. This marks the first CQM in the US for Ellipse, continuing our commitment to meeting and exceeding industry standards.
